The top of the conference table is made using 8 quarter-sawn oak slats, but also incorporates inserts that allow for the integration of technology such as teleconferencing equipment. The client designed the base of the table, which was executed in ¾” steel. A custom wall-mounted white board was created using laminated glass on a white surface.
NUCLEUS CONFERENCE TABLE
Nucleus Worldwide approached Hickey Construction to construct a large conference table that would reflect its highly collaborative culture. Using traditional furniture-making techniques, Hickey Construction designed and built a one-of-a-kind table that lends a retro-repurposed look to the agency’s conference room. The table (5’ W x 15’ L) was made using two-inch thick red oak slats to be plied together.
