Initially, Looking created a paper prototype of the terrazzo logo at full scale. An edging of zinc strip metal pieces was made off-site.

Composite rock material was added to the inside of the zinc strip frame, then shaped flat to form the terrazzo.
SIERRA CANYON TERRAZZO
Looking had designed a logo to be executed in terrazzo for the lobby of the Sierra Canyon High School gymnasium in Chatsworth, California. Looking worked with Hickey Construction to implement this ancient artisan technique of building terrazzo on-site.
